Why not test your nerve by taking part in one of the most thrilling activities Portes du Soleil has to offer. This combination of parachuting and hand-gliding is perfect for thrill seekers who aren’t afraid of heights.
Alternatively, if extreme adventure is not your thing; treat yourself with a relaxing deep nature spa at Pierres et Vacances. This idyllic spa contains an outdoor terrace jacuzzi, sauna, steam cabin and 5 treatment rooms.
Again on the more adventurous side, Les Gets gives you the opportunity to explore the mountain rapids by going white-water rafting, canyoning and hydrospeeding. This courageous activity is certainly not for the faint hearted.
One of the more mainstream summer pass times in Avoriaz is the Bike park which has 600km of mountain bike tracks and 19 lifts. Test your endurance on Europe’s best bike trails with stunning views and fresh alpine air.
Enjoy a competitive but fun round of golf with the family at the Plateau Sportif crazy golf course, Avoriaz. This is an essential activity during a lovely summers day to test your skills up in the mountains.
Aside from the obvious skiing and snowboarding, Les Portes du Soleil has a plethora of other leisure activities to make your stay in this wonderful resort even more memorable.
This open air ice rink in Morzine is perfect for skaters of all abilities. The rink is bathed in lights and there is music playing in the square, this is especially perfect for the festive period. Additionally there is a free show performed every Thursday from 6-7pm that appeals to children and adults alike.
The ice rink is in Morzines Palais des Sport and is a full size arena suitable for all levels. You may also check out some of the evening ice hockey games and relax with a hotdog and a beer.
Swap your ski boots for your dancing shoes and head to Rock the pistes festival! Is there anything better than dancing to music in the snow? The festival animates the resort for a week with concerts on and off pistes in the beautiful Portes du Soleil setting.
If dancing isn’t for you and you are seeking something more extravagant, then why not try some ice diving. This involves diving underneath the ice at nearby Lac Montriond. Qualified instructors can take all levels of divers through a hole cut in the ice to explore the icy water beneath.
Alternatively, explore Portes du Soleil in style by taking a husky sledge ride around the resort. This way you will ensure that you see all the beautiful scenery the resort has to offer by using a unique method of transport.
This water centre is home to many water slides and even a ‘lazy river’. What a perfect way to let the children blow off some steam whilst you relax in the outdoor hot tub after or instead of skiing.
