With the games in Pyeonchang well under way and, as the Erna Low Property team are such winter sports fans, we felt it was only appropriate to share our all-time favourite events to watch:

Speed Skating - chosen by Francois Marchand, Managing Director

“I used to rollerblade a lot when I was a teenager and looking at the pace they are going at on ice, they have very little margin for error and it is very technical and tactical, which I admire and find fascinating”.

Biathlon - chosen by James Ross, Director of Sales

“Because it’s the ultimate in endurance. Having to race long distances and then calm your body to shoot lying down and standing up. It’s not necessarily the fastest who wins, but those who are able to compose themselves the best”.

Downhill - chosen by Lars Brown, Sales Manager

“As much as I love freestyle skiing, downhill is far and away the most exciting event of the winter Olympics. With athletes reaching speeds of up to 130km/h, the fitness, skill and sheer bravery required to compete in this competition are second to none. Unsurprisingly, a British skier has never made it to the podium in the downhill at the winter Olympics, but I continue to watch in hope that we will have someone competing soon!”

Slope Style -  chosen by Bella Eyre, Sales and Marketing Coordinator

“I find freestyle skiing the most impressive discipline and one that I have always aspired towards. The athletes hit the course with such ease, they make a 720 cork look effortless and you know they are all there because they simply enjoy the ride and love to ski. No line is the same and each competitor holds their own unique style.
